Kuragehime 07 – Everybody is selfish

Surprisingly (or not) the best example isn’t anyone in the Nunz but Kuranosuke himself.

Everyone in Amamizukan has a passionate love for something, they collect items and treasure them. Kuranosuke also has a passion for fashion and clothing but instead of understanding the Amamizukan’s feeling he ignores them and treats their treasures like meaningless objects. He was such a dick in this episode I almost raged. It’s not like Kuranosuke is better than the Amamizukan, he spends tons of money on his hobby and refuses to give them up for anything else. If anything he just has a rich dad and has more common senses.

Some bloggers I read seem to like Kuranosuke because he is stylish, funny, handsome and criticizes the Nunz heavily because of their lifestyles, behaviors and appearances. While I think Kuranosuke is fun and the Nunz have some serious problems, I also think those bloggers are ignoring Kuranosuke’s bad points and they are a bunch of jerks, hypocrites when they focus on the Nunz’s weird actions and ugly looks. Sure their lifestyles are bad but it’s a sin to be ugly and true to yourself now huh? Fuckass.

Anime - In the order of how much I enjoyed them

1.Kuragehime 5: It was great.

2.Arakawa under the bridge ^2 7: Kamenashi Kamenashi Kamenashi Kamenashi ~ I wrote the other post before watching the rest of the episode so I didn’t know they all became crazy and made a Kamenashi religion =)) Oh god someone please show Kamenashi this episode and ask how he feels/thinks xDDD

3.Tantei Opera Milky Holmes 7: Henrietta is hot, Cordelia went berserk from lack of light and Nero is just getting cuter ~ This episode is pure chaotic and that is why it’s so awesome xD I’m so glad I picked Milky Holmes xD Also this is first time I can see the detective girls as 16 years-old, they all looked like they’re elementary students in previous episodes, or maybe it’s me who has problem with details and memory….

4.MM! 8: One of the better episodes MM!, I laughed at how Tarou changed from a M -> lolicon -> super pervert -> gay for Tatsukichi -> M. The comedy was really great xD And Yuuno is just so cute ~ I’m hoping for a Tarou x Yuuno ending /o/

5.Heartcatch Precure 39: Almost felt like a filler episode. Erika is always fun to watch but I’m sure I’d get mad often if I was Coffret xD Like how those creatures on the enemy’s side treat their wounds, pour sand back then use a tape and you’re all set =))

=6.The world God only knows 7: It’s still entertaining to watch but Kanon is so boring. Seriously, she is why Keima should continue to think real idols are horrible.

=7.Otome Youkai Zakuro 7: This one is kind of… silly? It’s really cheesy and geez Kei’s reason of fearing Youkai is pretty stupid -_- Also seeing Zakuro constantly bullys Kei while he is always nice is not fun :\

=8.Shinryaku! Ika Musume 7: It’s funny and worth watching but not memorable at all >_>

9.Shiki 16: At this point I only want the remaining main characters to become Shikis and live happily ever after….

10.Star Driver 8: Oh god Sugata is becoming so boring, just what I feared most. This is so cliche, can’t they do something about it? I haven’t lost hope yet though, please don’t disappoint me :’( I really like Sakana-chan x Head couple but they “broke up” in this episode -_- Bring her back, I don’t want this to be the last time I see them together

11.Katanagatari 11: Not really this week but ~ Anw this series really requires you to like the main characters huh? I mean I don’t even really care about what is going to happen anymore, I just hope one of them or maybe both die in a tragedy manner for something amusing. Both of them are just so freaking boring. I’m so so so glad next episode will be the last one, gotta say a-12-episodes series aired in a full year is a nice plan.

Manga – No particular order

-One Piece: wth with that Chopperman one shot???

-Katekyo Hitman Reborn 315: Hey it’s nice to know that even though Tsuna is such a…urgh there is no word to describe him, anyway it’s funny to see him peeking at Kyoko’s panty lol And wow Gokudera is a real stalker huh? I hope Shitt P win, such a shitty name geez.

-Saki 56-73: The manga is so slow I can’t see them making a second season!!!!!! ;A; Yuuki has improved a lot but she still can’t keep her cool, I hope she will finish the first round alright. The only thing I don’t like is how Hisa seems to be the ultimate Alpha (or is it Beta?) that can get any girls she wants. Stick with Mako and leave my other couples alone :-w

-B gata H kei 142-154: My favourite comedy manga ~~Kanejou is so inexperienced she acts like Yamada sometimes =)) Hang in there Takeshita, things will go crazy if you’re not there xDD

-Aoi Hana 36: It’s not this week buuuuuuuttttttttt ~~ Fumi and Ah-chan’s relationship doesn’t really make sense to me >_> I guess it’s nice that they kissed?

-Kintoki One shot: The plot and pacing is alright but it really lacked some energy.

-Moon Walker One shot: It’s HORRIBLE! I’m surprised a professional mangaka can write something this bad. Except for the art everything screams amateur and self-serving. It’s like Konomo Takeshi drew this to satisfy himself and lure in some fujoshis who only cares about bishounen along the way.

-Scamp‘s Arakawa posts are getting less and less fun to read. Is it because he is losing interest in that show?

-Psgels posted about his 5 year anniversary, my favorite part in that post is “amusing search terms”, they are really amusing lol. Psgels watches too many anime and writes too many posts that I have to wonder what the heck does he do?? It’s amazing how he has been writing so consistently for 5 years. Sometimes I feel like he misses important side details in anime because he watches too many and he can be pretty judgmental but reading his posts is nice, I always check out his blog after finishing episodes of series that he covers.

-Recently I also like to read Sergio’s blog, he reminds me of Aki when I first knew Aki but they went on different routes. The way Sergio is so focused on moe and fanservice is fun but it’s a little too one-sided, he can also be kind of extreme when it comes to elitists. Even though he is a neet he learns many languages, I wonder why?

-4saken “came back after hiatus” lol, I hope he doesn’t go on another hiatus again xD I like your posts so write more often ^-^

-There are a few artists I watch in DevianArt that like China, objectively speaking, I also think their culture is really interesting. But I’m a Vietnamese, my history and everything I know about China makes me hate that country. I don’t hate a Chinese person just because he/she happens to be a Chinese but I hate China as a whole.

-Now that I’m home again, I finally remembered that one of the reason I wanted to study abroad was because I don’t want to live in the same house with my younger brother. He really gets on my nerves.

-This week was a bad one, I’m so depressed and empty I didn’t know what to do. I even get sick today, actually I’m not tired to the point of calling it sick but I’m worried that it may get worse tomorrow -_- I’m definitely going out to watch some movies next week.

I’m glad mangastream is doing Genshiken, their quality is good and they are fast xD

Reading chapter 57, the reason why I don’t have much love for Genshiken becomes clear again. Genshiken characters are good at heart, they have good intention when they help people but they have limited kindness – like real people. In manga/anime, more often than not, there are many characters who go as far as sacrificing themselves to help other people, from friends to strangers. There is no such things in Genshiken, they can help other people but when things get tough or complicated, either they give up, make a lousy solution, or just ignore the hard part.

In chapter 57, when faced with Hato-kun’s problem, Ogiue didn’t know what to do, Yajima wanted him to stop cross-dressing because she didn’t like it, Ohno told him to come home to change because she didn’t care enough to spend time thinking of a better resolution, even it would took him more than 1 hour. They don’t hate him and don’t wish him trouble, but that is his own problem and they just don’t want to spend too much effort helping him.

In the first season, when Ohno and Kasukabe wanted to make Ogiue and Sasahara a couple, they got her drunk to hear her secret. After knowing about Ogiue’s past, instead of feeling sorry and wanting to help her get over her past, they just thought it’s troublesome, especially Kasukabe. They didn’t care if Ogiue had a tragic past, they didn’t care about her trauma, her suffering, they only saw it as an obstacle to their goal – getting Ogiue and Sasahara together. While they didn’t have any bad intention, their forceful and uncaring attitude really put me off.

While this is the reason why I don’t like Genshiken, I know that it’s one of its strong points. Still, I’ve had enough of limited-kindness people in real life, I don’t want to see them in fiction and I don’t want to become close/good friends with this kind of people, either.

-Katanagatari ~ 10/12: To me the main couples are silly and boring -> character development is boring -> episode 9 and 10 are average because the atmosphere were good.

-Shiki ~ 12/22: Natsuno’s dad is incredibly stupid, it doesn’t help that he is stubborn as well, his son and wife are dying but he doesn’t even realize that there is something wrong with them.

-Heartcatch Precure ~ 37/??: My enjoyment with this series is being killed by Cure Sunshine, she is boring as fuck, her partner is annoying as shit. More Blossom, Marine, Moonlight and some one lock those two things up please.

-MM! ~ 4/12: It’s surprisingly good, MM! isn’t excellent but it’s really entertaining. The main 3 characters – Tarou, Yuno, Mio – are really cute and likeable, the comedy is fun and there is no ero-fanservice. The drama is a little unnatural sometimes but all in all this series is enjoyable.

-Arakawa Under the Bridge x2 ~ 3/??: So far so good. It’s like watching the first season.

-Star Driver ~ 4/25: The villains are cool and pretty interesting. Takuto is active and decisive, he has a strong personality, but he is also the only person on the main side that has a character and actually does something, everyone else is just background. Wako is boring as fuck, no wonder she looks similar to Itsuki, they are both snore-fest characters. In some senses though, Wako is even worse than Itsuki, she doesn’t do anything, she doesn’t talk much, most of the times she just standing/sitting there and looks around/ is looked at. Itsuki is really Sunshine compared to her. Also what the heck is that stupid fox? He doesn’t do anything but acting cute (read: retarded) and funny (read: annoying). He is even more useless than Wako, at least Wako can be used as an excuse for Takuto to fight.

-Invasion Squid Girl ~ 3/??: The later episodes aren’t as funny as the first one but it’s still a nice comedy. Chizuru’s character type is overused and I don’t like her, lucky they don’t bring up her “power” often.

-Otome Yokai Zakuro ~ 3/??: I’m glad Zakuro isn’t a shallow tsundere like in episode 2. She has opened up to Agemaki and their relationship is coming up nicely. They have hinted about the main villains and I’m looking forward to that.

-The World God only Knows ~ 3/??: moe Elcea = do NOT want. She isn’t moe at all, she is stupid and generic and retarded. That is the only problem I have with this series though, it’s pretty fun otherwise. Hopefully she won’t have much screen-time. On a related note, I’m a little annoyed at Scamp’s complain about Keima’s blushing, what kind of jerk that doesn’t even have a little feeling for the girl he is trying to get to like him? I wouldn’t have watched this if that was the case.

-Tantei Opera Milky Holmes ~ 2/??: There were 3 bloggers who don’t like that kind of lolis and fanservices watched and complimented it so it couldn’t be that bad right? It really isn’t that bad, the only grip I have with this show is Nero’s character, she has no positive trait. If they can do something about her this show will be pretty nice.

-Kuragehime ~ 1/11: The best anime this season in my opinion. I’m definitely looking forward to the next episode.

-Oreimo ~ 4/12: I’m dropping this for 2 reasons. First, Kyousuke is Kirino’s slave and he doesn’t look like he wants to change that. Second, Kirino is a brat, she gets all sad and victim because of her hobby but it’s obvious that if she didn’t have that hobby, she’d totally look down on otakus and think of them as garbage. When I think about that, her actions became hypocritical and disgusting. I may watch the next episode because of Ayase but I don’t want to waste anymore of my time with this series.

OreImo – episode 3

It’s just as Landon said, Kirino is only an annoying bitch when she is with her brother. It’s actually pretty fun to see her hanging out with her classmates and otaku friends, she really loves both parts of her life and I can see that. I also like people who have unwavering passion so that is another +point for her. Kirino and Kyousuke’s realtionship is screwed up though. When they are not together or don’t do things related to each other, they are pleasant characters. But when they do, Kirino becomes a bitch and Kyousuke is starting to show his sister obsession, yandere symptoms.

In this episode Kirino’s dad found out about her hobby and insulted it, which I think is completely normal. Kirino ran away and cried out of frustration because of that and she couldn’t say anything back, she is just a little girl anyway. Kyousuke confronted his dad to help Kirino, and this is the deal. Their dad looked down on otaku because of social outlook, he himself didn’t know much about otaku. During the conversation, he remained calm and collected, he listened to what Kyousuke want to say and replied accordingly, he showed respect. Kyousuke on the other hand, showed no respect whatsoever, all he had was fear, he was trying to defeat this boss for Kirino, instead of trying to explain things to his dad, he kept yelling and shoving things into his face. That was still in the acceptable realm, he is just a high schooler, asking him to have a mature conversation maybe a little too much. But then he went as far as finishing his yelling by threatening to hit his dad while his dad hadn’t said anything yet. That, is not what a son, a brother would do, that is what an yandere lover would do. Kyousuke’s head is so completely filled with Kirino that his action became unreasonable. I was surprised his dad didn’t give him a slap for being so insolent and full of himself.

I think they tried too hard to make a “Knight in shining armor rescues Princess” scene because their dad is by no mean a bad or unreasonable person, he is just a strict and caring father. Actually I was on his side the whole episode, human are judgmental creatures, if your hobby is something most people don’t understand and/or have a bad view of it because of society, it’s expected of you to explain it to people whom you want to accept you. Otherwise it’s childish to complain why you’re not understood. Of course Kirino is just a child so it’s normal for her to not be able to stand up for herself or complain about that.

I wonder if Kirino will call Kuroneko an emo someday, or maybe she did but I don’t remember. I should pay more attention to details.

Kamen Rider Kabuto 1-23

I don’t like this one, they take things far more serious compared to Den-O but the plot is so fucking cliche and full of holes I can’t take it seriously and basically don’t give a damn about what is going to happen -_-

The characters are much more worse. Tendou is fine, I don’t like him at first but at least he is pretty entertaining and cool. Kagami is fun to watch and made me want to support him, not as much after he became Gatack but I’m fine with him. Hiyori is a stupid bitch though. She is an emo, a damsel in distress, an impolite girl, the only facial expression she makes is sulking, she is useless. She has everything I hate in a character. First she uses “omae” all the time, it’s alright if she uses that with Tendou and Kagami since they’re friends but even with Gon? Seriously? Is that the way she should talk with a GOOD KID like Gon? I’m not sure if she uses “omae” with Juka since I didn’t pay attention at those episodes but I suspect she talks with Juka without calling her. The way she dresses is so inconsistent, though I suppose this is more of the staff’s fault then her. Anyway, she is supposed to be social awkward and she did dress like that in the beginning, later though, she dresses like a happy young city girl. But my biggest problem with her is her stupid obsession with her past. So after the meteor, she tried to climbed out and saw a boy wearing a belt standing besides her parents’ corpses. It’s expected of her to suspect that person and try to find him, but boy oh boy, her stupid mind can only think that anyone wearing that belt killed her parents. Right, because there is only one belt like that in the world! And because 2 good friends of her have that belt, one of them must be the murderer! But she isn’t good at talking and the only thing she could do is ACCUSING THEM AND THEN CRIED in front of her parents’ grave to make the viewers empathy with her. Too bad, bitch, if you hate yourself so much go commit suicide, I’d be more than glad to help you. Also in Daisuke and Gon’s arc, she decided to go help rescuing Gon because she misunderstood that Gon’s the same with her (because forced drama is everywhere) despite the fact that she DIDN’T KNOW what was going and couldn’t do shit. Of course she didn’t do anything when they went there, she just followed everyone around. I suppose I should be glad she didn’t screw things up. And in the beginning, when Tendou promised to take her to the flower festival but couldn’t make it because he was caught, she kept saying he’s a liar. How bright of her, he couldn’t even come home with his dear sister but who give a fucking damn care? Of course he didn’t have any trouble at all and was having fun somewhere because he wanted to lie to HER, he wanted to make HER wait and suffer. I fucking hate this character and the way they tried to make her image only makes the matter worse. I nearly punched the screen when she cried in her ANGELIC WHITE DRESS.

Then there is Tsurugi Kamishiro, at first I thought he’s just an all high and mighty character like Tendou but in another way. Sadly that is not the case, he is an ignorant and arrogant rich kid who knows nothing about life, even the fact that his family is actually poor like shit now. He is lame like a comedy relief character but this is not a comedy show -__- I don’t even know between Tsurugi and Sieg in Den-o, who is worse -__-

I had most fun watching Daisuke and Gon, but their arc was too short. After they’re gone, I was left with a-becoming-more-and-more-annoying Hiyori, was thrown at lame Tsurugi, was in a middle of a plot I don’t care about. I so want to drop this show ~_~ But I’ll try my best to finish it /_/

Gotta say I’m so glad I watched Den-o before this, apart from the weak ending, I had a blast with Den-o and really like it xD Begin to watch Kamen Rider with Kabuto would surely turn me off this series for quite some time >_>

Aoi Hana – chapter 34

It isn’t exactly a cliffhanger but still >_>; I want to know what happens next

Ah-chan’s decision seems kind of sudden but as someone said on mangafox’s forum, I also think Shimura Takako put a lot of hints here and there about Ah-chan’s thought since Fumi confessed to her. I wonder how will they act from now on, it’s probably will be really cute and a little awkward. They will hold hands and maybe hug each other lightly but I bet there is no kiss.

Now I even understand Fumi’s feeling much more better than before Q_Q I just want to root for her but I also really like Ah-chan so I hope they will take it slowly and steady, they will surely make a lot of mistakes since they are still so young but they will probably overcome them all ;A;

I forgot to read this chapter last month so I thought I only have to wait a few days for the next chapter but someone said it won’t be out until September OTL Shimura shouldn’t have wrote 2 series at the same time if she couldn’t take care of them monthly ~_~’

Heartcatch Precure – episode 19 -> 24

Being spoiled and in a bad mood ruined any excitement about the new Cure Sunshine :\ Not to say I don’t like that new fairy at all, what is his name again? Potpouri or something like that (remind me of Popuri in Harvest Moon), he is supposed to be like super cute and to be loved by everyone but he is just meh. Like Tsubomi and Erika’s fairies aren’t cutesy enough -.-’

I don’t like how Sunshine is so overpowered, of course it makes sense since she has always been a good marital artist but still :\ Anyway I’m glad all 3 of them were beaten badly by Dark Precure, it wouldn’t make sense if they were somehow on the same par with her right after Sunshine joined.

Cure Sunshine’s design is so horrible! Twin-tail? Really? They made her even more “moe” than Cure Blossom and Cure Marine, and that doesn’t suit her at all   Couldn’t they give him something cooler? Look at Cure Moonlight, she is so cool and still feminine. Cure Sunshine looks like a fool,it’s really lame -_-

Next episode Itsuki seems to be totally in character with a bright yellow shirt lol, let’s see how they balance things out after Itsuki joined, they better do a good job.

B gata H kei – chapter 1 -> 105

I LOVE THIS MANGA!

When I watched the first episode of anime I wasn’t that impressed but the manga made me laugh real hard xD Yamada is so silly and cute xD She is a real pervert, not just an-all-talk-girl, she literately fap all day and she even took Kosuda to a really pervert park

I also enjoy all of other characters, they are a bunch of weirdos and even when they are a little over the top, they still seem so real. I could totally see someone act like that xD

The relationship between Yamada and Takeshita is really nice too, they hang out with each other a lot and are good friends but they don’t depend on each other and aren’t clingy.

Gotta give Kosuda points for trying, I like how his “wolf” is still so young and still growing

This is one of the titles I’m looking forward to reading the most at the moment
